Originally built in 1936 by Ludlow's Italian community, the building served as the Italian Club for 48 years. In 1983, Portugal-born Antonio Sebastiao, known to everyone as Tony, purchased it and transformed it into the Portuguese American restaurant it remains today.
This building and its location have been home to thousands of delicious meals and wonderful memories. Tony & Penny's is a vibrant part of the rich culture that has always made Ludlow, Massachusetts a special place to live and eat.
In July 2018, longtime employee Fatima Barroso and her husband Jorge purchased the restaurant. The same traditions continue, along with Fatima's genuine care for both customers and her staff.
